Scott Cam doubles down on criticism of Elle Ferguson and Joel Patfull for leaving The Block

Block host Scott Cam has defended his scathing comments about influencer Elle Ferguson and her fiancé Joel Patfull after they sensationally exited the show after just two days during filming earlier this year.

The Channel Nine star called the pair “p*ss poor” and “un-Australian” at a Logies brunch last week.

‘[It was just] I am me,” Scott said of the comments.

“Of course I wish Joel and Elle every success for the future. They just wreaked havoc on us here in the first 48 hours.

“The show… we put a lot of time and money into launching our show and then we had to rebuild the whole thing… all the promos had to be reshot.”

According to news.com, he ended his tirade by saying he was speaking “from the heart” and claiming the couple caused “a lot of anxiety” for going the way they did.

Scott first let go of Elle and Joel during an interview with TV Tonight at a Logies brunch last Monday.

“We had a 48 hour challenge to choose the house you get and they took off after 48 hours. It’s something that’s never happened before,” he said at the time.

“45,000 people applied to be on The Block and win life-changing cash. These guys got on and after 48 hours just couldn’t keep up the pace.

“Which is a bit un-Australian to me! Try! It’s fucking poor,” he finished.

According to The Daily Telegraph, the couple made the difficult decision to leave after Joel’s mother Trish broke her neck in a fall at her home in Adelaide.

The publication reported that she may have fractured her tailbone and fractured her wrist.
