“Scream 6” boasts a considerable number of Easter Eggs

Finally Ghostface is back and ready to slice through New York City scream VI.
In the sixth film, the four survivors – Sam (Melissa Barrera), Tara (Jenna Ortega), Chad (Mason Gooding) and Mindy (Jasmin Savoy Brown) – of the recent Ghostface murders leave Woodsboro for a new start in the Big Apple. However, they soon find themselves in another fight for their lives when a new masked killer emerges and wreaks havoc.

There is an obvious reference to Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan.
As the core four left Woodsboro in favor of New York City, the writers and directors couldn’t help but pay homage to them Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason conquers Manhattan. Don’t just scream VI introduce a new character named Jason (Tony Revolori), but his character can be seen watching the 1989 slasher at his apartment.
Ghostface also hops on the subway, which is a reference to Jason’s chase on the subway.
Wednesday Addams performs.
Modern day scream queen Jenna Ortega recently starred as Wednesday Addams in the Netflix horror comedy series Wednesday, So it makes sense that there’s a subtle nod to the character. During Sam’s therapy session, several characters in Dr. Stone’s office, including figures of the entire Addams family. Later, at a frat party, a girl comes by in a wednesday costume.

Scream 6 pays homage to Scream 2 in many ways.
Like the second installment scream VI follows the survivors of the recent Ghostface massacre and leaves Woodsboro for college. During a frat party, Tara mentions that she might pawn Omega Beta Zeta – if you remember, this is Cici (and almost Sidney’s) sorority at Windsor College. In the sixth film, Gale also fights Ghostface alone, which she does scream 2

As for the Ghostface killers, scream 2 Including the grieving mother of Billy Loomis, Mrs. Loomis (Laurie Metcalf) – the situation is identical scream VI, with Richie’s grieving father, Wayne Bailey (Dermot Mulroney), orchestrating the murders along with his other two children. The motives are also similar – to take revenge on the last girl for killing her family member.
Gale gets beaten outside a police station… again.
The sixth part replicates another iconic moment scream 2 – Gale is beaten outside a police station. In the second film, Gale requests an interview with Sidney, who slaps the reporter in the face. In scream VI, Gales arrives as Sam and Tara are exiting a NYC police station. She manages to dodge Sam’s hits, but Tara hits her.

The Ghostface Shrine is full of Easter eggs.

The final Scream 6 kill commemorates Stu’s death in 1996’s Scream.
In the third and final act of the 1996s Scream, Sidney drops a television on Stu’s head, seemingly electrocuting him. Well what scream VI, Ethan makes one last attempt to kill the Carpenter sisters – however, Kirby intervenes and crushes his skull with the same TV that killed Stu. Wow, if this isn’t poetic cinema, we don’t know what is!
