A Seattle hospital has faced the unexpected consequences of masking young children, sending the hospital panicking as it tries to address the problem.
Seattle Children’s Hospital found a staggering number of people flooding its emergency room just as normal fall flu season began, according to Seattle KING TV.
dr Tony Woodward, medical director of Seattle’s pediatric emergency medicine, sounded the alarm, telling the station that the hospital’s emergency room is overflowing with people facing the usual number of winter viruses alongside COVID-19 and its variants.
Children are coming from all over the area after being exposed to the virus, which they weren’t exposed to when schools were closed and forced to wear masks everywhere, Woodward said.

“Many children have been wearing masks at school during the pandemic. But now that the mask requirement has been lifted, kids [are] get sicker. In addition, the cots in most hospitals are full. That means most patients are now going to the emergency room instead,” KING-TV reported.
The patient deluge in Seattle should have been easy to predict, especially after the Biden administration continued its anti-science recommendations, despite many doctors recommending an end to strict COVID guidelines. At least numerous studies have shown that children are at much lower risk of contracting or spreading the coronavirus.
Miscellaneous studies even showed that using masks had no effect at all on preventing transmission of the coronavirus. And more even claims that wearing a mask is more dangerous than not wearing it at all, especially with all of this toxins they accumulate.
Consequently, top medical authorities have been warning for some time that schools should abandon their masking policy.

Woodward warned that this problem will only get worse in Seattle as we get deeper into the fall flu season. He also said his hospital has taken extraordinary measures to address the growing problem.
“We converted a storage room into a patient care room; We have a tent. We see patients in a tent,” Woodward told the broadcaster. “It is unsatisfactory for everyone; for the staff, for the doctors, for the families in these side rooms, but that’s the only option because we don’t have enough physical beds.”
The hospital emphasized on his website that ER visits are not for non-emergency injuries and parents should make appointments with their GPs for these issues.
The website is also maintained a list of problems that should be treated in the emergency department as opposed to the problems that should be treated by a family doctor or emergency care.
Authorities also note that the emergency department and emergency care after a concussion do not offer child health assessments, exercise screening, or return-to-play assessments.
The end of masking in schools is a long time coming. Top doctors were already there in January push States to scrap school masking policies.
One problem many schools face, however, is a stubborn refusal to listen to science, as demonstrated by the country’s powerful teachers’ unions, many of whom are outrageous claims that closing schools and masking children is “safer” for teachers.
And even after the CDC and other agencies started saying schools should be open for classroom learning, many teachers’ unions pushed for just the opposite New York Times reported earlier this year.
Many awakened administrators are also to blame. It got so bad that in August a California school principal called the police about a little boy who refused to wear a mask at school. The principal wanted the 4-year-old to be expelled from school for his masking offence.
With all of this, it’s clear that it’s long past time for America to break this mask obsession. It seems they did more harm than good.
