Discover the only way to unlock the Serpent Shrine Cavern and loot the TBC Items inside.
If you’re considering getting tons of TBC Classic Gold for the instance, you should follow these steps and make your way into the Raid.
Unlocking the Raid
First of all, if you want to enter the Serpentshrine Cavern, you’ll need to unlock previous Raids from the same expansion (TBC). Therefore, if you want to farm items in this Raid, it is necessary that you already have the Reservoir Key from Karazhan.
If you want to unlock the WoW TBC Serpentshrine Cavern Raid, you’ll need to follow these steps:
- Talk to Skar’this the Heretic:
Gather your close friends/guildmates, make your way into Zangarmarsh, and explore The Slave Pens (Heroic version). After you deal with the different monsters that you’ll find inside, move forward to the first boss, “Mennu the Betrayer.”
When you manage to defeat the final boss, search for “Skar’this the Heretic,” which is behind a locked cage. Afterward, it will give you a quest (The Cudgel of Kar’desh), that requires two items (Earthen Signet and a Blazing Signet).
- Obtaining the Earthen Signet:
Gather your Raid group and move into Gruul’s Lair. Defeat the final boss “Gruul the Dragonkiller,” and obtain the Earthen Signet from its corpse.
- Search for the Blackened Urn:
First of all, you’ll need the “Honored” status with The Violet Eye if you want to obtain the Blackened Urn. Additionally, you’ll find the quest called “Medivh’s Journal” from Archmage Alturus. You’ll find this NPC outside of Karazhan. Furthermore, you’ll need your Raid Group once more and re-visit Karazhan.
Look for the NPC called “Wravien” after you’re able to defeat four of the menacing bosses. Overall, you’ll complete a quest when you talk to it, and it’ll share with you two more tasks (In Good Hands and Kamsis). Indeed, one of the new quests (In Good Hands) requires no challenge because it only needs that you talk with the NPC, Gradav, which is inside the same room.
Later on, search for the NPC, “Kamsis,” talk to it, and it will give you another quest (“The Shade of Aran”). As a result, you’ll need to defeat the boss named “Shade of Aran” inside the instance. Afterward, you’ll obtain the “Medivh’s Journal,” return to Kamsis, and it’ll give you another quest called “The Master’s Terrace,” which rewards WoW TBC Gold.
Read the aforementioned journal and search for the NPC “Archmage Alturus” outside Karazhan. It will give you another quest which is called “Digging Up the Past.” Since you can complete the requirements by yourself (gather Charred Bone Fragments), you can leave your party for a while.
When you manage to obtain all the materials, unlock the next quest (“A Colleague’s Aid”), which requires more Charred Bone Fragment. Later on, take all the TBC Items into the Netherstorm map inside the Outlands. Look for the NPC “Kalynna Lathred” around the Area 52. This time around, it’ll give you another quest that leads you inside two difficult instances (Sethekk Halls and The Shattered Halls). Inside these places, you’ll need to defeat the bosses “Darkweaver Syth” and “Grand Warlock Nethekurse”. Both of these enemies will drop the TBC items that you’ll need to complete the quest (Book of Forgotten Names and Tome of Dusk).
Travel and look once again for the NPC “Kalynna Lathred,” and it’ll share the last part of this questline (“Nightbane”). Overall, when you manage to complete the quest, you’ll obtain the “Blackened Urn.”
- Obtaining the Blazing Signet:
Look for your inventory and click on the Blackened Urn to summon Nightbane, another boss in Karazhan. When you manage to defeat it, gather the Blazing Signet from the corpse.
- The Mark of Vashj:
When you manage to obtain both Earthen Signet and Blazing Signet, move into the Zangarmarsh once again. In this place, search the NPC “Skar’this the Heretic” waiting for you inside The Slave Pens dungeon. If you have all the requirements, it’ll cast “The Mark of Vashj” spell, which automatically will make you attuned to the Serpentshrine Cavern.
