Sex worker sentenced to three years in prison after threatening an Uber driver with a dirty syringe

A woman whose nose was bitten off in a fight has been jailed for threatening to stab an Uber driver with a dirty syringe.

Louise Dean, 43, jumped into Mohammed Dara’s stationary private rental vehicle in December 2019 and made “stabbing motions” towards his neck with the needle before demanding that he hand over his earnings.

Dean, who earned the cruel nickname “Miss Piggy” after her nose was bitten off in 2021 for a missing credit card, then chased Mr Dara around the vehicle, which was in the Walkden area of Greater Manchester, before fleeing with his watch and £30 cash.

Upon arrest, Dean falsely claimed that Mr. Dara owed her money for a sexual liaison.

The innocent cab driver has since quit his job and is in therapy for depression after the raid and the ensuing sex slurs against him.

At Manchester Crown Court Dean, of Weaste, Salford admitted robbery and was jailed for three years and nine months.

The incident on 1 December 2019 happened at 2:45am when Mr Dara was finishing a seven hour shift in the Walkden area.

James Worsford, prosecutor, said: “He was about to collect his last fare when he noticed the defendants’ car was parked behind his in the street and then saw her get out and walk towards him.

“She opened the door and got into the victim’s stationary vehicle, despite his reassurances that he already had a pre-arranged booking and she had to get out.

Once in the car, she drew an injection and began making stabbing movements to the victim. The victim noticed that the syringe had a metal tip and was dirty.

She threatened to stab him if he didn’t pay her money.

“The victim was able to get out of his vehicle and initially stayed inside looking for his earnings. But then she got out of the car and started chasing the suspect around the car.

“The victim has limited mobility due to his asthma and hip replacement and was quickly caught up by the defendant.

During the chase, the victim’s watch became detached and fell to the ground. It was quickly taken by the accused.

“She started threatening him with the needle again and asking for money. The victim voluntarily paid £30 from his wallet and said that was all he had. The defendant then took it and ran away.’

“The victim then got back into his car and actually completed his final drive, which took him to Warrington. But then he reported the incident to the police.

Police who were called to the scene found Dean’s saliva on a handkerchief that Mr. Dara had left at the scene.

The prosecutor added: “In the interview, she claimed the victim was no stranger to her and had paid her for sex several times in the previous months.

She said she contacted the defendant to try and recover some unpaid fees owed to her from one of her previous engagements.

However, this later turned out to be a complete lie, as the police found no trace of contact with the victim on their phone.

“Mr. Dara left his job immediately after this incident. That night was his last ride as a taxi driver.

The false accusations leveled against him by the defendant only added to the effect on him.

None of this helped with his resulting depression. He has sought help and therapy but his treatment is ongoing.’

Dean has five felonies on her record, including a 2018 brawl conviction in which she served an eight-month sentence.

To mitigate her solicitor, Thomas James said: “In 2021, Ms Dean was subjected to a brutal attack by another woman who bit off her nose and suffered a permanent facial disfigurement.

Her family situation has collapsed and she is no longer welcome among them. Her estrangement caused her to live in various homes and temporary accommodation.

“She is currently on medication for depression and has been diagnosed with anxiety. She has suffered many traumas in her life.

She doesn’t remember much of what happened that night, although she is very upset by what happened to the victim and feels remorse.”

Judge John Potter convicted Dean, telling her: “You may express remorse now, but in your police interview you told a shocking, shameful package of lies designed to further humiliate your victim.

“That was an appalling lie that bluntly insulted a previous injury. Of course, Mr. Dara heard the allegations made against him and this led him into further torment.

He had to give up driving after four years on the job. In fact, the fare he took last night turned out to be his last.

“The victim’s torment only ended at the very last moment when you pleaded guilty. I accept that you lead a chaotic lifestyle that would leave you vulnerable, but none of that excuses what you did to Mr. Dara.’
