There were reports of a shooting at a building connected to the Peruvian Embassy in Washington DC on April 20, 2022.

The audio captured a preliminary account of the scene

According to Fox5 DC, the shooting took place “in the 3000 block of Garrison Street in northwest DC,” a location associated with the Peruvian embassy.

Washington DC Police Department cconfirmed this, writes: “MPD members respond to a shooting at the 3000 block of Garrison Street NW. Further details and an on-site media briefing will be released shortly.”

The latest tweet from the embassy: “Ambassador Oswaldo de Rivero met virtually with @HouseForeign Chair, @RepGregoryMeeks (D-NY) to discuss various aspects of Peru-US relations and the political convergence of social issues between both countries and their desire for combating climate change.”

Fox News reporter Anders Hagstrom reported“BREAKING: Intelligence is investigating a shooting at a location connected to the Peruvian embassy in DC. Authorities have not confirmed the connection, but the shooting took place in a residential area and there is at least one victim.”
