Since Brat and Jesseca Dupart reveal pregnancy, Brat shows belly

Congratulations are announced! There Brat expected with her wife Jesseca Harris-Dupart. The rapper debuted her baby bump in a gangsta-inspired maternity shoot released exclusively from People Magazine. Da Brat spoke about becoming a mother at the age of 48 and deciding to expand her blended family.

“I never thought I would have kids,” Brat said. “I just thought it wasn’t in the cards for me. I’ve had a great career, a fulfilling life. I felt like because I didn’t get pregnant before, it just wasn’t going to happen for me.”

Although Da Brat is already a stepparent to Jesseca’s three children, this will be her first child. The couple started expanding about a year ago after getting married in February. Brat says their love made her see life differently – and sparked a desire to share a child.

Initial talks about a new baby started as a joke, says Jesseca, but once the idea took hold, everyone was there and ready to bake the bun!

“I thought I’d like a little me with you. Something special for both of us to share, nurture and love unconditionally,” Brat said.

Da Brat reveals medical complications and miscarriages before her pregnancy

“I fell in love with the idea and then everything was taken from me,” Da Brat said.
