“survivor” is back and things are already heating up on the island. in one foretaste The Baka tribe, posted Oct. 3 on the official Survivor YouTube channel, hinted that one of their fellow tribesmen, Mike “Gabler,” was “out of joint.”

Here’s what you need to know:

Gables causes drama before the tribal council

fans who saw this Survivor 43 premiere I will remember that Gabler caused quite a stir before the first tribal council.

The Texas native earned an Immunity Idol earlier in the episode, which would have given him safety at Tribal if he had used it. Gabler struggled in the first challenge, so fans suspected he might use his idol to protect himself in the game. But Gabler confused both his fellow tribesmen and viewers at home when he revealed he planned to use his shot in the dark on Tribal. A totally unnecessary move considering he has an idol.

Gabler ultimately didn’t use his shot in the dark, but fans couldn’t help but notice the temporary misjudgment.

fans criticized the Baka tribe on Twitter for not voting Gabler out after not using the idol. Instead, they voted out Morriah Young, the Philadelphia teacher. That Move received backlash from fans who complains Gabler was unfit to play the game.

Fans might have a point that Gabler wasn’t a good fit on “Survivor.” Jeanine Zheng, a member of the Baka tribe, revealed in a quick look that Gabler was struggling to adjust to life on the island.

“He’s upset because he doesn’t have enough to eat [and] water,” she told fellow tribesman Elie Scott.

“That’s the reason not to go long-term,” Elie replied, hinting that Gabler could be the Baka tribe’s next target.

In a confessional, Elie spoke more about Gabler’s physical condition and told the cameras that Gabler was deteriorating.

“I’ve seen Gabler deteriorate physically over the past few days,” she said. “He’s really struggling.”

“There’s a lot of babies being made,” she continued. “I turned my feelings upside down [about] Gabler and I want him to go next.”
