Social and systematic influence of alcohol

According to the National Survey on Drug Use and Health, approximately 43.5% of black American adults drink alcohol daily and 7.4% struggle with alcohol addiction. The black community suffers from more negative problems related to alcohol use, including injuries, serious illnesses and social consequences directly related to alcohol abuse.
Black Americans are an ethnic minority in the United States but experience substance abuse and long-term problems more often than any other group. The Sober Black Girls Club is an entity dedicated to educating and influencing the community on how to overcome these challenges.
