Social media reacts to USMNT’s move to 2022 World Cup berth

The United States men’s national soccer team has qualified for the 2022 World Cup and the celebrations are in full swing.

The team only had to avoid a six-goal loss to qualify for Qatar, and they did so with a 0-2 loss to Costa Rica.

When there was a chance to qualify, history was in favor of the Americans, when their last defeat by six goals or more was against France in 1979.

On the other hand, they didn’t have much luck against Costa Rica. The team led 0-10-2 in the domestic World Cup qualifying matches and lost 4-0 in the last qualifying round.
