Some Aston Villa fans react to rumors regarding Everton

Aston Villa fans took to Twitter to react after walkie talkie revealed that Everton want to sign Anwar El Ghazi.

What is the story?

Well, Aston Villa are trying to sign Lucas Digne, who is available after falling out with Rafa Benitez at Goodison Park.

Follow the unrelated approach – follow walkie talkie – Everton are hoping to sign El Ghazi, whom Villans value at £15m.

The 26-year-old has found playing time hard to come by this season, causing four Premier League begins for Aston Villa.

However, the Toffees see something in him that they admire, and are trying to lure him to Merseyside.

In our opinion, that would be much better than spending £15m on a player who is not even a regular.

Aston Villa can put Everton to shame

If Steven Gerrard brought Digne to Villa Park and also received £15m for El Ghazi, it would be an incredible deal from Villans.

It is therefore likely that Aston Villa will sign Digne in what will actually be a player-plus-cash deal.

In our view, parting with a player who spends most of the weekend on the bench, in exchange for a 43-cap The France international and £10m, would be great work from the folks at Villa Park.

However, the toxic atmosphere at Goodison Park could multiply if this happens, as Everton supporters could feel the club’s shame.

Alternatively, Benitez working with Gerrard – both Liverpool legends – could anger Everton fans even more.
