RIGHT FIGHT IN OK AFTER A BIG RIVALRY WIN LAST WEEK OVER NORTH OLDHAM SOUTH, OLDHAM WAS LOOKING FOR ANOTHER RIVALRY WIN OVER OLDHAM COUNTY. The first half was a shootout in front of a packed crowd. OLDHAM COUNTY STRIKES FIRST QB DEREK DEAS THROWS IT FOR HIS WIDE RECEIVER BROOKS KIGHTLINGER, AND IT HITS SEVEN ZIP COLONELS SOUTH WOULD STRIKE NEXT, BUT NOT BEFORE THE COLONEL DEFENSE TOOK A BIG LICK. NUMBER 17 TYLER ROARK KICKS HIM AND DRAGONS QB NICK HAMILTON DON’T LIKE IT. IT WAS PERSONAL IF HE STARTED THIS THE DRAGONS WOULD TAKE THE LEAD IN THE 21 TO 14 HALF OF THE THIRD QUARTER. THE DRAGONS COME READY TO PLAY. RECEIVER JACOB ACEVEDO WOULD ALMOST TAKE THIS INTO THE HOUSE. BUT DON’T WORRY, THE DRAGONS WOULD HIT IT. NEXT GAME. BUT AT THE EXTRA POINT, A MILLED SNAP-O THANKS HAMILTON WOULD TURN INTO TWO-POINT-S. AND THAT WAS ALL THEY WROTE FOR THE COLONELS SOUTH WOULD PROVE THAT THEY ARE THE KINGS OF OLDHAM COUNTY WITH A SUPERIOR VICTORY OF 5221. IT FEELS AMAZING. I’m glad we were able to get a good win out of it and just move on to the next game. THAT’S WHAT IT’S ABOUT. AND I LOVE IT FOR THE BOYS AND FOR THE FANS AND THE COMMUNITY. I mean, it’s a close-knit community. THESE GAMES MEAN A LOT AND THERE ARE A LOT OF bragging rights AND YOU KNOW, WE KNOW A LOT OF PEOPLE THERE. SO IT MEANS A LOT. That’s why I’m really happy for the boys and they can celebrate together. THE DRAGONS SHIFT TO FOUR AND ONE DURING THE SEASON. They will travel to Lawrenceburg next week to face Anderson County.
