SpaceX acquires rights to connect planes, ships and other vehicles to Starlink’s Internet service

Federal authorities have allowed SpaceX to link a range of vehicles to its satellite internet service, a win for the company as it seeks to expand its customer base.

The Federal Communications Commission on Thursday allowed the Elon Musk-led company to begin operating Starlink, as its internet unit, on everything from planes to boats to RVs, on orders from FCC. The authorization covers both consumer and business vehicles.
