Spirit Airlines Inc. said it would limit flights in the coming months to protect its operations from weather disruptions and prevent the kind of cascading cancellations that have impacted its operations of late.
Spirit is the latest airline to scale back plans ahead of the anticipated busy summer. JetBlue Airways Corp. said this month it would cut up to 10% of flights as it struggled with staff shortages in some areas. Alaska Air Group Inc. 2% of flights cut by the end of June, citing pent-up pilot training needs.
