Startups are making it easier to get ADHD meds. This made some workers anxious.

Cris Wibby joined online psychiatric company Cerebral Inc. as a registered nurse last spring looking for the flexibility to work from home while also helping new patients.

She began treating adults with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and offering prescriptions for powerful stimulants such as Adderall. She might be doing this because the federal government has relaxed a rule requiring an in-person visit before such substances can be provided, and many states allow nursing practitioners to prescribe controlled substances. Ms Wibby said patients were clamoring for the drug, and she said she sometimes struggled to diagnose ADHD during 30-minute video calls, which she said were sometimes too short.
