Stranger Things’ Noah Schnapp reveals he has a summer lifeguard job ‘just for fun’

Noah Schnapp admitted that when he’s not on the set of Stranger Things he works hard at a separate summer job.

The 17-year-old explained during an interview with Flaunt that he has a part-time job as a lifeguard, adding that the work has “kept me grounded”.

In addition to working on the upcoming and final season of the hit Netflix show, he also revealed that he was accepted into the University of Pennsylvania.

The talented actor has been open about his summer gig, adding, “It’s kind of a ‘just for fun’ thing.”

The ‘Bridge of Spies’ star said that despite appearing in one of Netflix’s biggest shows, he “grew up with a normal life and normal friends and stuff outside of Stranger Things, so it kind of freaked me out kept on the ground.”

Noah recently graduated from high school with a bang and plans to major in business at his “dream school,” the University of Pennsylvania.

While he will continue to pursue his passion for acting, he explained why he wanted to attend college.

“The acting was just kind of repetitive and I wanted to try something new,” Noah told the publication.

Noah said his co-star Millie Bobby Brown also had similar feelings and plans.

“Millie Bobby Brown does the same with her school days, she learns about other things. I thought it would make more sense to do something else. And the deal was a pretty clear next thing for me.’

Not only did the actor put a lot of emphasis on school, but he also spoke to Variety about how acting will still be a big part of his life.

“I love acting. It was a hobby. It’s still a hobby. It is so much fun. I love stepping into any character’s footsteps and just throwing my heart out, whatever the scene, so I’ll never give that up,” he said.

“But it’s fun to explore different things. I would love to direct and produce and write and be an entrepreneur and do all these different things.

“Social media is a great way to connect with them and while it can be super transparent at times and they know everything about me, it’s fine because my fans are awesome and super protective,” he added.
