Strictly Come Dancing: Hamza Yassin whispers to Jowita before the dance

Hamza Yassin has revealed the heartfelt words he whispers into his Jowita Przystal’s ear every week at Strictly Come Dancing before they hit the dance floor.

The wildlife presenter, 32, is the bookmakers’ favorite to win this year’s series and will face Helen Skelton, Molly Rainford and Fleur East and their professional partners in Saturday night’s final.

During an appearance on Friday’s episode of It Takes Two, Hamza spoke about how he prepares for his performance in the moments before he dances his routine.

He said: “Hand on heart, we stand together every week at the results review and I whisper in her ear, ‘Thank you for everything you’ve done. I’m ready for the dance off. Here we go.”‘

Referring to the fact that he wasn’t in the final two in any week, he added: “I didn’t think that was ever going to happen, let alone that we were in the finals.”

Hamza’s professional partner Jowita said she was on cloud nine after dancing with the television personality that season.

“I’m living my dream and being with Hamza is just the best thing that could have happened to me,” she said.

“Earlier this year I got a calendar that said 2022 is the time to shine. That meant a lot to me and now it has actually come true.”

She then turned to Hamza, who started crying as he sat next to her, and said, “Thank you Hamza for making me shine this year.”

It comes after Hamza – who is being tapped into a six-figure presenting contract after the show – narrowly missed out on a perfect score as he topped the leaderboard in last weekend’s Strictly Come Dancing semi-finals.

He and professional partner Jowita scored 39 points after their first dance on Sunday night’s show – one point away from a full 40 thanks to Craig Revel Horwood, who was the only judge to give them a nine out of ten.

During Monday night’s results show, it was revealed that Fleur East and her professional partner Vito Coppola and Will Mellor and his dance partner Nancy Xu were among the final two, with Will and Nancy being voted out of the competition.

The final starts at 19.05 on BBC One with Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman reveals the winner of 2022.
