And Strictly Come Dancing star Matt Goss has revealed he’s already been forced to make a heartbreaking sacrifice to appear on the show, separating from his beloved dog Reggie and leaving him behind in the US.
The 53-year-old 80s hitmaker revealed he’s hoping to fly his French bulldog to the UK but is concerned about how he’ll manage the long flight due to his breathing difficulties.

Tough: Matt Goss has revealed he has been forced to part with his beloved dog Reggie after leaving him in the US so he can take part in the new series of Strictly Come Dancing
Matt told The Sun he may have to wait months to be reunited with Reggie in the UK after his busy schedule prevented him from ordering a pet passport and ensuring his dog had the necessary vaccinations.
He said: “It was hard leaving Reggie in America. I know having him here will keep me going on the Strictly stage.
“The issue of bringing Reggie to the UK is the logistics and there is also quarantine.
“Reggie’s breed also has respiratory problems, so it can be difficult for him to travel in the hold or stay in the hold for long periods of time.”

Matt added that he’s been spending lockdown with his dog, who is named after ’60s gangster Reggie Kray, and always dreamed of having him in the UK so they could go for walks in London’s parks together.
The music legend is among 15 stars appearing in Strictly’s 20th series, including presenter Helen Skelton, footballer Tony Adams, actress Kym Marsh and EastEnders star James Bye.
After being unveiled as a contestant last week, Matt admitted the prospect of appearing on Strictly gave him “butterflies for the first time in three decades.”

He said that morning: “I’m excited, I’m nervous. You have the conversation and then you think: “I have to dance!”
Matt, who has lived in Las Vegas, America for 25 years as a headliner, said he’s looking forward to spending more time at home again.
He said: “I was almost retired, I come and work and then go back to America. I thought it was time for me to come home and get out of my way somehow.
“Do something completely outside of my comfort zone. I’m pretty shy offstage so I have to face all those demons and learn.’

Go down! Last week, Matt was revealed as one of 15 stars taking part in the 20th series of Strictly Come Dancing
Matt revealed that he received the call for the show a month ago and has been codenamed ever since.
He said: “I had the call over a month ago and my code name was American Bulldog. Now I can say it’s me. It’s very secret. I told about three people and that was it.’
When asked how to learn to dance, he added: “Someone has to teach me, I have to learn.
“When I’m doing my songs, of course I’m moving, but you don’t really know what you’re doing. Being judged on this show is really exciting for me. I have butterflies for the first time in three decades.’
