Sunshine, warm afternoons, mild nights on Friday and this weekend


Friday morning was mostly sunny across central and southern Alabama. This caused temperatures to rise from the high 60s at sunrise to the low 80s at midday. Temperatures will peak in the mid to upper 80s Friday afternoon under partly to mostly sunny skies. Friday night looks pleasant for high school football or elsewhere, with temperatures in the 70s during game time. Friday night looks mostly clear and mild, with lows in the upper 50s to lower 60s.

The pleasant autumnal weather lasts all weekend. Saturday and Sunday look rather sunny and warm, with high temperatures in the upper 80s. Overnight lows will fall into the lower to mid 60s each night. Rainfall will return to Alabama next week. However, rainfall may remain patchy and there will only be isolated showers each day. Some sunshine is expected to continue next week, with high temperatures in the mid to upper 80s.
