‘Survivor 42:’ Chanelle Howell on Who She Supports

Chanelle Howell

Chanelle Howell is extinguished in episode 8 of “Survivor 42” the torch.

On Wednesday, “Survivor 42” viewers watched as Chanelle Howell became the first member of the jury after the anger of her former dad tribemates became too great to contain. Since her exit, Chanelle has taken the time to give fans some clarifications surrounding her exit, her reaction to being voted out and who she wanted to win the game for.

Here’s what you need to know:

Chanelle: ‘Everyone could see’ Romeo ‘unraveling’

In her Rob has a podcast exit interviewChanelle spoke about her last day on the island and what happened that caused her to go blind.

Chanelle revealed that while she knew she was out, she didn’t know she was the #1 target, partly because (although we didn’t see much of it) she strategized and held conversations with each virtual candidate on the island. This, coupled with his increasing paranoia, led her to believe the real target was Romeo Escobar.

“Romeo dissolved very clearly,” she explained, “and everyone could see it. it was like Wow. If I just play it a bit, maybe I’ll be clear.”

However, as we saw, 57-year-old Mike Turner’s resentment towards her for casting a “safety vote” his way in episode 5 was basically a deciding factor for him. She said she underestimated the extent to which Mike was “emotional” in his gameplay, especially considering they made very similar moves — he voted for her the same night she voted for him, for example did – although she never took it personally. as she knew, it was all strategy.

Survivor 42 Dad

CBSThe Daddy 4 just before the “Fake Merge” of “Survivor 42”.

Additionally, Chanelle referred to the four former Daddy members as “that girl” and revealed that both Ika and Taku came to them to form an alliance once the “fake fusion” happened in episode 6. As she put it, “Dad really could have been where Taku was when he was a strong 4.” However, this just wasn’t due to the ingrained resentment that the other Daddy members, namely Mike and Hai Giang, held against her makeable.

Chanelle bets on an unlikely candidate

in a (n ET Canada exit interview with Survivor 41 winner Erika Casupanan, Erika asked Chanelle about her disdainful reaction to her fellow tribesmen upon deselection (in which she basically ignored those who told her they loved her, dismissing them with soft and casual remarks). In response, she said she was so stunned that she basically can’t remember the several minutes that her torch was extinguished.

“To be honest, I don’t remember any of that,” she said. “I [was] simple, like, speechless honest. Completely speechless.”

When asked who she was cheering for for most of the remaining players, Chanelle responded with a perhaps unexpected answer: former Taku member Lindsay Dolashewich, mostly because of her relationship with her. “Lindsay is very close to me,” Chanelle explained. “Like a very balanced, very balanced, very good social player… stays out of the crosshairs like I’ve been trying to. So I’d like to see someone next to me take it home.”

While we haven’t seen much of Lindsay and Chanelle together, we haven’t really gotten to see much of Lindsay yet. In fact, she received it lowest number of confessionals out of any player so far this season, which has even led to Lindsay herself joked about her sparse editing. However, it was Erika, who received a similar “purple” edit at the same time last season, that she ended up taking home. If Lindsay makes the final 3, we know she’ll have at least one friend on the jury.

“Survivor 42” airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. Eastern on CBS. The three-hour finale will air Wednesday, May 25, 2022.
