Suspect in custody after doorbell camera captures horrifying domestic violence

Shocking home surveillance footage captured late at night shows a man repeatedly punching the woman before hauling her out onto the street against her will.
14-second Ring doorbell footage captured around 3 a.m. Wednesday assisted North Carolina Police in locating and apprehending a 32-year-old man who allegedly punched the woman about eight times when she moaned on a bystander’s front porch, according to One Press Release by the City of Charlotte.
The disturbing video begins as the woman runs to the door and screams “Hey!” She tried to bang on the door twice before the man ran up behind her, grabbed her and forced her to the ground. The man shouted at the woman as he hit her even though his words were barely intelligible.

Homicide detectives are asking for any information that could lead to the identification or location of either party in this violent incident. “It was a violent attack. It’s imperative that people see this and help identify those people,” Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Captain Joel McNelly said at a news conference Wednesday, according to a news release. report by WRAL.
The Mecklenburg County Sheriff arrested suspect Louis Lamontrez Meadows Thursday morning on charge including assault of a woman and first-degree kidnapping. The victim was also located and transported to a safe location.
Detectives charged 32-year-old Louis Meadows in connection with the incident. The victim has also been identified and has since been transported to a safe location. This incident was determined to be related to domestic violence.

The homeowner – who does not wish to be named publicly – is said to have seen a pair of slippers and a red wig in front of her home and checked security cameras to see what happened. She called the police as soon as she saw the footage.
Some of the reactions to the video were equally unsettling, with one person expressing more concern about potential retaliation if the suspect went out than about the victim of the beating.

Inmate records at the Mecklenburg County Jail indicate that Louis Lamontrez Meadows was detained October 2019 on the crime of appropriating second-degree property and appropriating property.
