Taiwan reports 40 Chinese military aircraft in its air defense zone
TAIPEI (Reuters) – Taiwan’s defense ministry said on Thursday it had detected 40 Chinese Air Force planes in the past 24 hours that had entered the island’s air defense zone, mostly flying south of Taiwan and into the Bashi Channel.
At least four of the planes also crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait in the northwest of the island, according to a ministry map.
