Team Secret delivers impressive results with new squad ahead of Kuala Lumpur

Team Secret faced Entity in a crucial lower bracket final, with the final qualifying spot for the main tournament on the line. The team demonstrated strategic prowess by focusing on Carry Muerta in the first game, effectively balancing kills and objectives. This approach paid off, as Secret Entity underwhelmed despite having a nearly equal net worth.
In the second game, Entity went with an unconventional Mid-Spirit Breaker pick. However, Team Secret remained steadfast in their strategy and aimed for fast gameplay. The game was closely contested, but Secret’s strategic timing around the 40-minute mark proved too much for Entity and led to their victory in both the game and the series.


Team Secret qualifies for ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023
Team Secret’s journey to ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 was a challenge. Their initial performance in the open qualifier was nothing to write home about and they suffered a 2-0 defeat to OG in the Oberliga final. Teams like OG, Entity, Team Tickles and Alliance seemed like stronger competitors at the time.
Under the leadership of Clemens “Puppey“Ivanov, Team Secret started their comeback at the bottom. They earned a narrow victory against Alliance in an 85-minute game, continued their winning streak against Team Tickles and OG, and finally defeated Entity in the finals.
Squad changes made the difference
After a disappointing season, Team Secret revamped the roster during the Dota 2 roster shakeup. Miroslav is one of the new additions.”BOOM“Bičan and Yeik”MidOne“Nai Zheng, with Di”Ah fu“Soon Chuan will come as a coach.
MidOne’s return to Team Secret marks a significant reunion. He previously played for the team from 2016 to 2019, establishing himself as a top midlaner and contributing to several major victories. Despite initial doubts about the new squad, qualifying for ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 has proven the team’s potential.
