Teenager fatally shot in Adams County, suspect remanded in custody

CONEWAGO TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WHTM) — A 16-year-old man was fatally shot in Adams County Sunday afternoon.

Police Chief Gary Baumgardner said officers moved to the 300 block of 3rd Street around 2 p.m. and found the teenager with multiple gunshot wounds.

According to Baumgardner, the teenager died at the scene. The identity of the victim has not yet been released.

A suspected gunman is currently being held in custody, although no charges have yet been filed.

According to the police, there is no danger to the public and the investigation is ongoing.
