Ghostwire: Tokyo
April 12th – Xbox Series X|S

Ghostwire: Tokyo arrives on the Xbox Series X|S, one year after its year-long PC and PS5 exclusive release, bringing a first-person action-adventure title to the platform with a striking spooky neon aesthetic. Ghostwire: Tokyo features an immersive narrative and immersive world set in an alternate Japan overwhelmed by supernatural beings.
Though praised for its visual worldbuilding, Ghostwire: Tokyo has been known to have mixed reviews on combat, with reports that it feels a bit clunky and boss fights are underwhelming. While the combat isn’t perfect, it’s unique and contains plenty of fun enemy encounters to work your way through. In addition, the atmosphere of the supernatural-infested world is quite impressive, as it manages to balance beauty and spooky imagery. Ghostwire Tokyo will be available on the Xbox Store and Xbox Game Pass on April 12, 2023.
Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection

Coming to PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC on April 14, 2023, the Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection features ten games from the Mega Man series to progress through at your own pace. These games comprise all six mainline games from the Mega Man Battle Network, taking a different approach to the familiar mix of run-and-gun and Metroidvania playstyle and swapping it for a tactical RPG format.
These games play similarly to any other tactical RPG, with a world map, NPCs and a unique combat where you take control of a combat program called Megaman.exe to face off against viruses. Minecraft Legends is an action-strategy game scheduled for release on April 18, 2023 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC consoles. Minecraft Legends takes the beloved open world with sandbox-like qualities that millions of fans love and cherish, and puts a new spin on things with a linear action-strategy approach, while still hinting at beloved fan familiarities like building and craft maintained.
In Minecraft Legends, you play from a third-person perspective and step into a hero’s footsteps as you team up with new friends and familiar mobs to defeat your opponent, the ever-greedy Piglins. If the single player story alone isn’t enough to get you hooked, you can also team up with your friends and challenge them to compete in PvP or defeat the Piglins together using a combination of teamwork and tactics.
Disney Speed Storm

Essentially Disney’s take on the popular Mario Kart franchise, Disney Speedstorm brings an all-ages kart racing game that’s set to hit the 18th while many big franchises throw out a kart racing game or two in their lifetime that end up as forgotten titles Speedstorm looks like a surprisingly fun alternative to the Super Mario Bros. racing game that everyone is familiar with.
It has a variety of Disney characters in the list, from Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck to Hercules and Captain Hook, which are sure to create some hilarious and wacky moments of competition between friends, foes and strangers of the Disney universe. The graphics are visually appealing too, with glowing effects and animations that light up the screen as you tear up the racetrack. If there’s going to be a strong contender for Mario Kart’s crown of toon-themed racers, Disney Speedstorm looks like it’s the one.
Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores (DLC)
April 19th – PS5

While not technically a game, Horizon Forbidden West’s Burning Shores DLC is one of the most anticipated content releases of the month, set to finally be available on April 19th, 2023.
The Burning Shores DLC brings many beautiful and fun new additions to Horizon Forbidden West that everyone can’t wait to get their hands on. First, the new flying mount, titled Water Wing, can dive underwater, allowing you to explore the ocean at a new pace. There will also be a menacing new monster to defeat as Aloy, new cosmetic outfits and weapons, and many smaller additions that will take immersion and exploration in Horizon Forbidden West to an all-time high.

Bramble: The Mountain King

Bramble: The Mountain King is described by the developers as a gritty adventure set in a world inspired by dark Norse tales. Players take control of a little boy named Olle who tries to find his missing sister and save him from a troll-like monster. After an understandable delay in 2022 following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp will be released on April 21, 2023 for Nintendo Switch. This title is a remake of the popular GBA Advance Wars and Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising turn-based strategy games, with a revival in the form of updated, modern graphics and a rather charming, simplified 3D chibi art style.
Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp also offers options to compete against your friends (or rivals!) in versus mode, where up to four players can select a CO and battle with their CO on a wide range of maps Use strategic powers to turn the battle in your favor. In this upcoming title, Cal will travel across new planets to continue his story and embark on a narrative adventure set five years after the events of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
