So far there hasn’t been much speculation about Nicolas Pepe leaving Arsenal.

Apparently the player is on loan at Arsenal amid speculation Raphinha is rated at £65million come in, but he doesn’t dominate the headlines.

The former Lille winger, who signed a club-record £72million three years ago, managed just five Premier League starts under Mikel Arteta throughout the season, highlighting his decline in north London.

Raphinha’s potential arrival would bury him at the Emirates Stadium but according to a journalist, buying the Leeds United winger could be difficult ahead of Pepe – who earns £140,000 a week – is unloaded.

Journalist Dean Jones further revealed to the podcast Football Terrace youtube.

He said: “It all ties in with the fact that they are trying to look for a new home for Nicolas Pepe. I expect that’s going to be more of a priority now, that Pepe has to find a way out of the club for Raphinha to land.”

Nicolas Pepe leaving Arsenal could be a blessing in disguise for the Ivory Coast international.

Obviously there is a problem with Arteta in the sense that he doesn’t rate him too highly, but he can be an excellent player.

Skill, pace and shooting ability are the raw materials for a damn good footballer in Pepe, and whichever manager can unlock it, well there’s plenty to gain.
