Aston Villa attacking midfielder Philippe Coutinho has said so The Daily Mail that he has no regrets leaving Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool for Barcelona.
Coutinho, who can also play as a winger, was on the Liverpool books from January 2013 to January 2018.
The Brazilian joined Liverpool from Inter Milan and went to Barcelona.
Barcelona allegedly Liverpool paid an initial transfer fee of £105million.
Much was expected of Coutinho when he joined Barcelona but the Brazilian failed to make much of an impact at the Camp Nou and was on loan at Bayern Munich in 2019-20.
Coutinho also had injury problems at Barcelona.
The former Liverpool star is now at Aston Villa and recently made his £17m loan deal permanent (Sky Sports).
Coutinho has said he has no regrets leaving Liverpool despite his struggles at Barcelona.

The Brazilian told The Daily Mail: “I regret nothing. It’s all part of the ups and downs in life. Even as a child it was my dream to play for Barcelona. But now it’s in the past and I’m looking forward to my future here.
“I also learned a lot during this time. It was a very difficult time for me, but it made me stronger in my head. From that point on, it was important to me. I missed it a lot and now I feel more love for the game.”
Philippe Coutinho may have struggled at Barcelona but the former Liverpool star is now thriving at Aston Villa.
The attacker is starting to return to his best form and it seems playing under former Liverpool team-mate Steven Gerrard is doing wonders for him.
Villa No. 23 has scored four goals and received three assists in 15 Premier League starts.
