The 5 biggest takeaways from the RHONJ Season 13 trailer

Bravo
The RHONJ season 13 trailer has been released.
The highly anticipated Season 13 trailer for The Real Housewives of New Jersey was released on December 21, 2022. In it, fans got a glimpse of the drama that will unfold shortly before the new season premieres on February 7, 2023.
The nearly four-minute RHONJ trailer didn’t disappoint. It begins with clips from Teresa Giudice’s wedding and quickly cuts to a few choice words shared by some of the other stars throughout the season. Some of the biggest takeaways are the Giudice/Gorga feud and Dolores Catania’s new relationship with Paul O’Connell.
Here’s what you need to know:
1. Jennifer Aydin’s marriage will be a storyline
The RHONJ season 13 trailer shows some drama from the Aydin camp.
“Jennifer Aydin’s on a downward spiral,” Josephs said during an outing with Melissa Gorga and Jackie Goldschneider. “She has to deal with her marriage,” she says, though she may not have said so during the same outing.
The trailer then cuts to Jennifer Aydin telling her husband that he “doesn’t do anything”. She continues to have conversations with other people about how she feels like a “dump,” though it’s not clear if a skillful edit could make it appear like she’s talking about their relationship when she’s actually about something entirely other spoke.
Additionally, Aydin will talk to Josephs at some point during the season.
“I have a family, and that’s something you never know, what it’s like to have a family,” Aydin tells Josephs while sitting at a table with other cast members outside.
Dolores Catania & Frank Catania’s relationship is tested
Dolores Catania’s new relationship with Paul O’Connell will definitely change the dynamic between her and her ex-husband Frank Catania — and he brings it up more than once in Season 13.
At one point, Joe Gorga asks Frank Catania if he misses his ex-wife. “Yes, I do,” he admits. Dolores Catania introduces her new boyfriend to her friends during the season, and she tells Melissa Gorga that he’s already talking about getting married.
“I’m not trying to take Frank’s place, but now I have you,” O’Connell says in a scene to Dolores Catania.
The seriousness of this relationship seems to evoke some other emotions in Frank Catania, who gets emotional during a dinner with his ex.
“It’s our family. The four of us,” says Frank Catania, meaning the two and their two children. “I’m going to start crying,” he admits.
3. There are 2 new full-time stars joining the cast
Watching the trailer introduces two new Real Housewives stars. Dolores Catania describes Danielle Cabral as “very Jerseylicious”.
“I’m over the top and extravagant,” Cabral says in the trailer, as cameras provide a glimpse into her personal life. Cabral is good friends with Giudice.
Rachel Fuda is also part of the cast as a full-time star and is on #TeamMelissa. Josephs said Fuda reminded her of “a glamorous Tim Burton character.” Fuda calls himself a “total dictator mom,” adding, “What I’m saying is like what happens.”
We also now know that Goldschneider was demoted to a “girlfriend of” role — and she’s not in the cast photo. The producers also added Jenn Fessler, who is also a “friend of” for season 13.
4. Gabriella Giudice speaks
While Giudice’s daughters Gia and Milania have been pretty outspoken in previous seasons of the show, Season 13 will see fans get to know Gabriella a little better. Gabriella has always shied away from the cameras, but she’ll speak her mind this season.
“It just hurts,” Giudice says in front of her daughters about her relationship with her brother.
“You literally have a family member,” Gabriella tells her.
In an interview with Brooks Marks about “In the Know,” Gia revealed that her sister would be speaking up in Season 13.
“My sister Gabriella is very private, but this season… you’ll see! She finally spoke up because she said, “No one ever sees me speak my mind on this show, so if I actually speak it out now, it’s going to speak volumes.” Because she doesn’t usually talk about it,” Gia said earlier this year.
5. The Giudice/Gorga feud may be bigger than we thought
For months, fans have been trying to figure out what exactly happened at the wrap party that sparked a huge argument. Things got so bad that Joe and Melissa Gorga decided to skip Giudice’s August 2022 wedding.
The Season 13 trailer contains a few short clips from that night, but more clips from scenes where tensions flare up between Giudice and her sister-in-law.
At one point, Giudice says to her brother and his wife, “I don’t think you guys are happy.” Then the camera catches Joe Gorga ready to fight Louie Ruelas before the scene stops.
“She always wanted to keep my brother and I separate,” Giudice is heard saying as Giudice and Ruelas stand at the altar.
“She got her wish,” says Giudice before the trailer ends.
