The Block’s Tom slams ‘negative’ co-stars Sharon and Ankur

The Block’s Tom Calleja didn’t hold back when it came to giving his opinion on Blockhead’s co-stars Sharon Johal and Ankur Dogra.

Tradie, 34, says he has no interest in befriending the controversial contestants of Nine’s reality hit after Sunday’s finale.

“No one wants to hang around with negativity, do they?” he told the Herald Sun.

Tom made the comments while attending Derby Day in Flemington last Monday with partner Sarah-Jane Wilson, 30.

“I got friends off the show – Ryan and Rachel, Dylan and Jenny – Sharon and Ankur, I’m out of touch with them so why would I develop a friendship with them?” he continued.

Meanwhile, Sarah-Jane said she wanted everyone to be safe when the five new renovations in rural Gisborne go under the hammer on Saturday.

“I saw Sharon a few days ago and it was super chill,” she told the publication.

“They just didn’t have the same experience as us, it was as simple as that – they just didn’t seem to have it [enjoy the show] – and we did it,” she added.

It comes after Sharon, 34, and Ankur, 41, were trolled on social media for perceived mistakes during the show’s run this year.

The controversial couple clashed frequently throughout the season with his dealer Scotty and his builder Liam, with both parties blaming the other for not pulling their weight.

A war of words between the couple and the judges only escalated on-screen tensions. Sharon and Ankur were less than impressed with the feedback they received during the outdoor reveal.

Judges Darren Palmer, Neale Whitaker and Shaynna Blaze criticized the location of the pool area and outdoor dining area.

After listening to their expert comments, Ankur said, “No disrespect to the judges, but I really don’t care what they say… the house will still sell.”

“You can keep your comments and smoke,” added Sharon.
