The Callisto Protocol’s latest trailer reveals The Boys’ Karen Fukuhara

The latest trailer for The Callisto Protocol, titled The Truth of Back Iron, stars Japanese-American actress Karen Fukuhara as Dani Nakamura. Fukukhara’s notable roles include Kimiko on The Boys and Katana on Suicide Squad.

In the new trailer, protagonist Jacob Lee explores the Black Iron Prison on Jupiter’s moon Calisto. He finds it full of disgusting creatures that can evolve and mutate if their limbs are cut off. One of the characters, Dani, accompanies Jacob on his way through the high-security facility.

Towards the end of the trailer, Dani shouts at Jacob that just finding a way out of Black Iron Prison isn’t enough – they must find answers as to what happened to all the prisoners and why the truth is being covered up.

Fukuhara previously hosted a panel on San Diego Comic Con earlier this year for The Callisto Protocol, but the extent of her involvement in the game was unknown. Now we have confirmation that the character Dani will use her likeness for the game. This also appears to be Fukhara’s first video game credit.

The Callisto Protocol will be released on December 2nd for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
