Eintracht Frankfurt have hinted that Filip Kostic will be sold this summer, with Premier League giants Arsenal and West Ham United targeting the Bundesliga star, as reported by table football.

Markus Krosche, sporting director of Frankfurt, has a few busy months ahead.

Because Kostic is far from the only ace in the Commerzbank Arena to enter the last 15 months of his contract. Daichi Kamada, the silky Japanese forward, also becomes a free agent in 2023. Likewise the outstanding central defender Evan N’Dicka, the young defender Tuta and the Australian playmaker Ajdin Hrustic.

However, Kostic would be the biggest loss of the game.

An old-school winger with a daring style reminiscent of Gareth Bale’s early years on the left side of Tottenham Hotspur’s front line, Kostic is one of the most enduring creative talents not just in Germany but across Europe.

He has 12 assists in all competitions so far this season and could top his career-high tally of 18. If this is his last dance in Frankfurt, Kostic is sure to say goodbye in style.

What’s next for Filip Kostic?

Arsenal and West Ham United remain linked, as do Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan, Lazio and Sevilla (CM).

Additionally, Frankfurt will reportedly be listening to offers in the region of £9million. The Eagles I would rather see Kostic fly the nest this summer than risk losing him at large the next.

“If they don’t extend their contract, the situation automatically arises that we have to sell them,” says Krosche when asked about the future of Kostic, Tuta, N’Dicka and Co.

“We will see how big the upheaval will be in the coming weeks. Some may already be leaving us.”

One of the continent’s most underrated footballers, Kostic turns 30 in November. As such, this could be his last chance to secure a move to an established European powerhouse; For example an Arsenal, an Inter or a Sevilla.

“He showed his extraordinary qualities” Ex-Frankfurt director Fredi Bobic says about Kostic.

“He’s a quiet and reserved guy, works very hard in training and puts in extra running shifts. He’s a top professional.”
