The Foamstars open beta starts in September 2023

This open beta will run for a few days until it ends on Sunday, October 1, 2023. The network test of the 4v4 party shooter will be available on both PS4 and PS5, giving players the opportunity to try out two game modes and eight playable characters.

The first game mode is Smash the Star, in which one of a team’s players becomes the star player after seven teammates are eliminated. The game ends when the first team eliminates the opposing team’s star player and wins the game.

The other game mode available is Happy Bath Survival. This is a 2v2 mode where two players are in an arena and the other two are outside. The goal is to blast the opposing player in the arena with foam first and eliminate them to win the round. The first team to win two of the three rounds wins the game.

Players have the opportunity to try out the stylish, competitive multiplayer game that shares similarities with the Splatoon series, during open beta before full release next year.
