The Genshin Impact 2.4 update brings the much-anticipated Spiral Abyss changes

Genshin Impact’s 2.4 update will see the infamous Spiral Abyss finally get some much-needed fresh air – so here’s everything you need to know.

Amidst the emerald grasslands of Genshin Impact’s breathtaking Tevyat are a host of terrifying creatures and demonic entities that just want to rip you off your feet.

Many of these are located in the Spiral Abyss, the game’s resident dungeon. Players have pretty much talked about the inhabitants of the Special Domain, calling them everything from “cowardice” arrive “tedious”- and it looks like miHoYo heard them.

During the live showcase on December 26 Genshin Impact 2.4 update, the developers note that some highly requested quality of life changes are coming to Spiral Abyss and fans are jumping for joy.

Beyond the crystal clear blue lake lies the mysterious portal leading to the Spiral Abyss.

Genshin Impact 2.4 adds QoL changes to Spiral Abyss

The developers of Genshin Impact have confirmed that the Spiral Abyss will be revamped in the 2.4 update and these upgrades will hopefully solve the fans’ current troubles.

“In the game interface of Spiral Abyss, we have added real-time progress for challenging missions,” the developers explain. “For example, if the current goal is a Time Trial, if the challenge time exceeds the goal limit, the goal will be shown in gray to remind the player that the goal has not been reached.”

Additionally, players will now be able to see detailed information about the next tier’s upcoming monsters while they’re on the challenge tier below, meaning you won’t have to exit the challenge to check it out. What’s waiting to greet (and eat) you. .

Ignored along with these changes is a whole other set of simple yet effective modifications. Players will now be able to customize their shortcut wheel and navigate the map faster than ever.

The fan base asked and miHoYo listened, so it will be interesting to see how these changes affect the dungeon’s playability. Until then, though, remember to save those primogems so you can recruit Yunjin and Shenhe and face the Abyss in style!
