The KIC 2023 Wildcard will determine 5 teams for the $9.6 million event
The largest mobile esports tournament series, the Honor of Kings International Championship (KIC), has returned for its 2023 edition. Before the KIC 2023 begins, the wildcard phase will take place, in which the last five teams of the money-rich tournament will be determined. The winner can look forward to $2.7 million of the $9.6 million prize money. This makes it the largest esports tournament of 2023 in terms of total prize pool – a lead held by The International from Dota 2 in previous years.
The KIC 2023 Wildcard offers teams that did not qualify directly for the main event and other regions the opportunity to participate in the tournament. Previously, the KIC was only intended for Chinese teams. However, since Tencent announced that Honor of Kings would be available worldwide, the tournament has expanded to include more teams.

- 11 teams compete for the title in a single round-robin format. All games are best-of-one matches.
- The top five teams in the tournament will receive a place in the KIC 2023 main tournament.

How to watch the KIC 2023 Wildcard Stage?
The tournament venue is the VSPO Esports Arena in Shanghai, China. It will take place from November 22nd to 25th.
