There was a collision in which a vehicle rolled over, which initially led to the closure of one lane of the motorway.

All lanes are now open again, but the driveway will remain closed for at least two days.

This is due to extensive work to carry out emergency repairs to barriers.

National Highways said: “Junction J21 northbound of the M6 ​​remains closed after an overturned vehicle.

“The recovery of the vehicle is now complete.

“A major cleanup is now underway, along with repairs to emergency barriers.”

They confirmed the approximate duration of the closure, adding: “The driveway is expected to remain closed for at least the next 48 hours.”
