Liverpool need Trent Alexander-Arnold in top form against Manchester City

If Liverpool can beat the Citizens at Etihad Stadium it would be a simply monumental result.

To beat Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp needs all of his players to bring their A-game, especially Alexander-Arnold.

As we saw against Benfica – and in many other games – the Liverpool-born maestro has the vision and ability to change a game from within his own half, as he did when he delivered a stunning pass to Sadio beforehand Mane’s goal played.

Manchester City tend to press high. So if Alexander-Arnold finds a way to play through the press and find players like Mane or Mohamed Salah with a long ball, it could help Liverpool find openings.

Whatever happens, it’s sure to be one of the most exciting Premier League games in recent memory, with so much at stake.
