The new Fire Emblem Engage trailer showcases your home base and its many features

In the floating fortress Somniel you can interact with friends and prepare for battle in Fire Emblem Engage.

Today, Nintendo and Intelligent Systems released a new trailer and details for the upcoming Fire Emblem Tactical JRPG Fire Emblem Engage.

This time we’ll take a look at the floating fortress called Somniel, which will serve as your base of operations in the game.

You are free to explore the stronghold, including the square that gives access to the armory and the item shop, where you can prepare for battle by purchasing gear and items.

The Ring Chamber houses the Emblem Rings you have collected, allowing you to commune with and inherit abilities from the spirits within the rings as your bond with them deepens. You can also create and fuse binding rings that improve a character’s stats. You can even polish the emblem rings, which you can use to further improve your bond with the corresponding hero.

The Arena is where you can enjoy practice battles to gain experience, and the Tower of Trials challenges you to complete special battles and trials that offer in-game rewards. You can also create your own battle maps and share them with other players.

Of course, you can also use the Somniel to meet your allies and have a good time with them. You can eat with them at Cafe Terrace and give them gifts.

There are other activities such as fishing, animal husbandry and caring for Somnie, the fort’s mascot.

You can buy clothes and accessories for your characters in the boutique while you train in the training yards to temporarily boost your stats.

There’s even a fortune teller, a Wyvern-riding mini-game, and the Amiibo Pavilion, where you can tap compatible Amiibo figures to receive items like costumes and music from previous games in the series.

Finally, there is your own room where you can rest. Maybe your friends come by accident and wake you up.
