The police dog tracks the intoxicated suspect from the accident to the front door while officers arrest the 45-year-old woman

A police dog followed an intoxicated suspect from the scene of the accident to his front door.
Lincolnshire Police were called to an accident at Park Lane in Ewerby, Lincolnshire on October 5.
A vehicle had been abandoned by the driver, so officers sent police dog Orbit to find the suspect.
The crime-fighting dog who came to Lincolnshire Police in June 2019 was able to sniff them out from half a kilometer away.
This led officers to an address on Anwick Road where a 45-year-old Sleaford woman was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.
A spokesman for the Lincolnshire Police Canine Department said: “PD Orbit visited the scene of a road accident overnight where the occupants left the scene.

“Orbit tracked the crime scene to the front door of an address. Inside, the registered vehicle owner was located and arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.’
The troupe’s dogs star in a £10 charity calendar.
Each month the calendar features a specialist police dog photographed in the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside.
There is also a mini profile of each dog giving their name, age, handler and length of service in the troop.
All proceeds are donated to the Thin Blue Paw Foundation, a national charity supporting serving and retired police dogs in the UK.
The Foundation provides much-needed financial support to over 300 unsung canine heroes and their owners to ensure them a long and happy retirement.
