The “privacy checks” issue on Instagram has users scratching their heads

Stunned Instagram users rush to Twitter after a “privacy checks” pop-up blocked them from using the app.
It’s not uncommon for social media applications to have bugs every now and then. But it always annoys fans, especially on Instagram.
The Meta-owned platform has once again drained its users’ patience this time due to an issue with “Privacy Checks”.

What are privacy checks on Instagram?
Many Instagram users have revealed on Twitter that they get stuck on a page titled “Privacy Checks” when using the app. However, there is nothing under the pop-up.
For many users, their Instagram screen is just blank while for some it is a black screen.
Users cannot advance or click away from the page and this has caused them to scratch their heads.
Some have complained that a “checkpoint required” popup appears when opening Instagram.
Some users thought that the stuck on “Privacy Checks” page might be due to not updating to the latest version of Instagram.
At the time of writing, Instagram is yet to respond to the issues people have been facing.

Instagram was down a few weeks ago
The Meta-owned social media app, which has around a billion active users each month, was down just two weeks ago.
Many users complained that the app was running slowly and they couldn’t watch videos or view someone’s profile.
Some even claimed that the app was running slowly even after clearing their cache and restarting their phone, which is very strange.
However, the issue was fixed after users complained about it on social media.
How can I contact Instagram?
One of the best ways to submit your complaints to Instagram’s support team is to tweet them or submit your complaint in their DMs.
While the app does have a phone number and a support email address, you’re unlikely to get in touch with an actual customer support representative.
The direct phone number and email are (650) 543-4800 and [email protected] or user gets no human answer through these channels.
Given that Instagram has over a billion active users, it would take an army of people to take care of customer complaints, which is why the feature is automated.
Another way to get help is to visit the platform’s help center through the phone app or through the desktop website, as it has answers to most questions.
