The radio host JV on WiLD 94.9 has disappeared – Latest case update
Listen to us: there’s nothing more nostalgic than listening to the radio in your car. Nowadays we also have our AirPods or Beats in and listen The daily podcast or “Midnight” by Taylor Swift, but it used to be just the radio.
We all had our favorite stations and switched between them until we hit a bop. And on the morning commute to school, we had the morning shows with our favorite anchors to wake us up on the commute.

It’s no surprise when Jeffery “JV” Vandergrift, the popular WiLD 94.9 radio host in San Francisco, disappeared, leaving people devastated. JV has been absent from people mornings since the 90’s so naturally people were very concerned and wanted him found.

What happened to JV on Wild 94.9?
JV was reported missing on February 23, 2023 and was last seen around 10 p.m. that day, according to the local San Francisco news station. KRON4. A few days later, the station JV was working on announced WiLD 94.9 this post on her Instagram that there have been no updates.
The post read: “We are deeply concerned, as we know you, that our own JV has been reported missing by the SFPD. We work closely with them and his wife, Natasha, who is also a dear friend and a member of the WiLD 94.9 family. Sending love, thoughts and prayers to JV and will share more information as we receive it.”

The police also tweetedconfirmed the channel’s rhetoric and stated that there had been no suspicious activity on its cards, cellphone, etc.
The only one who has any leads on the case is JV himself. He edited a caption on his Instagram the day JV went missing:
In a picture originally posted in August, JV edited the caption to say, “Thank you for a wonderful life filled with joy, laughter, pain and struggle. It’s been a great trip. Your support and prayers meant the world. Keep shinin’ love, compassion, understanding, truth, forgiveness, peace and hope for others.”
JV had also been transparent about his mental health issues surrounding his Lyme disease diagnosis that evening a blog article for WiLD 94.9.

Is there an update on JV?
Yes, there was an update. On March 1st, Natasha, JV’s wife, shared an update on WiLD 94.9’s Instagram page. In the update, Natasha shares how she’s unfortunately received information leading her to believe JV won’t be coming back.
The post reads:
“Thank you to our friends and the entire i-HeartRadio family and listeners for your love, support and prayers. I can feel your love and energy for JV and am so thankful for it. The level of compassion for the physical torture JV has endured over the past 2 years has been overwhelming. I was in so much pain and fear and I know you all were also in such fear and concern for JV. JV and I have always considered this community part of our family so I would like to let you know that personal information has recently been discovered which leads us to believe that JV will not be coming back. I tell you this with incredible pain and sadness in my heart.
At this time, JV remains officially missing according to the SFPD, but no foul play is suspected in his disappearance. We are incredibly grateful for the SFPD’s ongoing efforts to locate JV and they have asked us to keep the details for immediate family only. I know how painful it is for you to hear this – please know that you are on my mind.
Please forgive my silence during this time – my heart is completely broken and the pain feels unbearable. I will do my best to provide updates and I ask that you keep JV in your thoughts and prayers.
