The Sydney teenager who was found dead after disappearing from Freshwater beach was an outdoor enthusiast

Friends and family remember a missing teenager who drowned off the coast of a popular Sydney beach as a young man enjoying the outdoors.
Ivan Korolev, 18, went swimming with two friends at Freshwater Beach around 8 p.m. Saturday night.
But the couple called police when they lost sight of the teenager and he failed to return to shore around 8:15 p.m

Local Police, Marine Area Command, Surf Life Saving NSW, Marine Rescue, Polair and the Toll Ambulance Rescue Helicopter combed the area from North Curl Headland along the coast to Bluefish Point and further out to sea.
Naval officers patrolled the water Sunday night while police scoured the beach.
