Before the season 22 finale of The Voice, some fans thought Team Blake Shelton’s Bodie was the clear winner, but by the end of the show, he was crowned second place.

Now Bodie is working on new music for his fans, as he revealed on social media.

“I’m so excited that you guys are hearing what I’ve been working on. Had to give you a little teaser. he wrote in an Instagram post alongside a video of him singing and mixing a new song.

Some of the lyrics Bodie sings are, “Wake me up when I’m dreaming / There’s no stopping my heart, the only reason.” I used to see you every weekend… and now we run around, I bet you know I feel so crazy every time I go alone.”

The song continues, “So if you swing to me if I’m your fantasy, you’re the only girl I’d ever let go, and I don’t want to wake up.” … with us, love looks easy.”

Fans are loving Bodie’s new update and begging for an album

Fans in the comments section of the Instagram post are begging Bodie for an album.

“Get here before it’s #1 on iTunes.” one person wrote.

Another commented“Your album has to come out now or life will sue.”

“Why aren’t you on the radio right now?! I can’t wait for the drop!” added a person.

Things are moving “faster” for “The Voice” runner-up.

In a separate Instagram post, Bodie shared: “Things are moving faster than I could have ever imagined. Can’t wait to show you what I’m up to🖤love you all sm”

Bodie’s journey on “The Voice” began with a four-chair rotation when he performed The Fray’s “You Found Me.” The show published most of the audition before the episode, although the artist’s coaching choice has not been made public at the time. He eventually chose to go forward with Blake Shelton and made it through the entire competition, which came as a bit of a surprise.

Ultimately, Bodie shared that his original choices for coaches were either Gwen Stefani or Camila Cabello. He revealed why he ultimately chose Shelton Interview with Parade before the final.

“When I went into it, I was sure that I would choose Gwen or Camila,” he shared. “I’m very strategic about everything I do on the show, including coaching. And I’m a big fan of Gwen. I knew she would understand my weird, unique style of music, how I wanted to dress, how I wanted to perform and all that. I just felt like she would get me the most.”

The singer said he never chose John Legend.

“The long and short of why Blake is what he said to me,” Bodie told the outlet. “Part of it aired, part got cut out, but I could just tell he had a vision for me. I knew if I chose him and worked with him and worked hard, I could just feel that he would believe in me and keep cheering me on. And I’m glad I picked him because he’s shown time and time again that he believes in me and picked me as the winner.”

During the blind audition, Shelton shared that he was “desperate” to get Bodie on his team.

“I’m desperate,” Shelton said. “First I got my…I think I pressed my button first. I never play this card, but John says it all the time and he gets everyone on his team. I pushed my button first, okay?”

The Voice is set to return in March 2023 with trainers Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, Niall Horan and Chance the Rapper.
