The Voice: Kim Cruse wins an instant save after performing Believe and advances to the Season 22 Semifinals

Kim Cruse was saved immediately after finishing in the bottom three on Tuesday’s episode of The Voice as the field narrowed to the last eight on the NBC show.

The 30-year-old singer from Woodville, Texas, was rescued after she delivered a rousing performance of Brooks & Dunn country song Believe, which received a standing ovation from trainers John Legend, Gwen Stefani, Camila Cabello and Blake Shelton .

Kim beat Kique, 18, of Miami, and Rowan Grace, 16, of Rapid City, South Dakota to reach the semifinals of Season 22.

Her trainer John, 43, gushed about Kim after she appeared on the instant save.

“Kim, I have a hard time believing you’re not walking out of here with the utmost confidence. Because when I see you, I see so much talent, beauty, power and soul in your voice. When I work with you I just see so much musical understanding and understanding of how you can express your voice in such incredible ways. It’s just a pleasure to work with you,” John told Kim.

Show host Carson Daly, 49, revealed Kim won the instant save in the final moments of the show, and she squealed as she doubled over in disbelief.

Gwen, 53, lost her singer Kique, who resurfaced remotely after being diagnosed with COVID-19.

Kique delivered a unique rendition of River by Leon Bridges from afar during the instant save and Gwen afterwards said he was the first artist she’s ever worked with, saying she was “really blown away by his own artistry”.

Blake, 46, saw the elimination of his singer Rowan, who was digging into the classic Fleetwood Mac song Landslide during the instant save.

After their performance, Rowan thanked Blake for stealing them from his wife Gwen earlier during the season and said she was grateful to them both.

He told Rowan that she has built a strong following and is on the right track with her music career.

Justin was the only member of Gwen’s team to make it to the semifinals.
