The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt Next-Gen Update is finally coming next month alongside the Complete Edition

The adventures of Geralt of Rivia finally come to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Today, CD Projekt Red announced that the long-awaited next-gen update will be coming next month.

Despite the fact that we can certainly debate whether it’s time to stop calling the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S generation of consoles “next-gen” because they haven’t been “next is, the update will be free for both sides of the console wars (and for PC) on December 14th, which is exactly a month for now.

Along with a new visual coat of paint, the update includes ray tracing support, faster load times on consoles, and a variety of mods built into the base experience. However, the announcement does mention that there’s more in store and we’ll find out more during a livestream next week.

The game will also get the promised content from the popular Netflix show, although we’re not yet sure what that will include.

But there is more. For those who have not yet purchased the game and its DLC, a “Complete Edition” will be available digitally on December 14th for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, including both expansions: Hearts of Stone & Blood and Wine.

That being said, a physical edition is also coming, but the release date for that will be announced at a later date. All we know is that it will be after December 14th.

It’s worth noting that the last-gen versions of the game, including the Switch version, are also getting an update with additions and improvements, including the Netflix content.

If you’re more interested in the games, CD Projekt is working on several projects including the start of a new mainline trilogy while also developing a remake of the series’ original game. The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt Next-Gen Update is finally coming next month alongside the Complete Edition
