Mardi Gras! Galveston performed by Yaga’s Entertainment

Celebrate Texas Mardi Gras style at the third biggest celebration in the United States. The party begins tonight, Friday, February 18, 2022, and continues through the weekend through March 1 at The Strand, according to Galveston’s website.

“Mardi Gras! Galveston, the third largest Mardi Gras celebration in the United States, often offers the unique opportunity to experience the sand between your toes and the beautiful sunsets on the beach while taking part in fun parades and lavish is known to dominate Galveston Island during the festive season,” the website says.

It all started with 3 million counties, the website said.

“At Mardi Gras! Galveston, the extravagance found in Texas’ largest Mardi Gras celebration begins with beads! More than 3 million beads will be thrown at Mardi Gras! Galveston and that’s just the beginning of the elaborate parades, headline shows, family events, parties and other festivities that come with the Mardi Gras island-style hosting,” page web said.


American Dance Theater Alvin Ailey Performs ‘Revelations’

You won’t want to miss the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater’s return to Houston. The theater company has been recognized by a resolution of the United States Congress as a “Cultural Ambassador for the World”, according to its website. They’ll be holding performances Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, February 18-21, at downtown Jones Hall.

Family Art Festival: Roblox Paint Party

The Prime Art Gallery will be hosting Family Art Day with a Roblox-themed paint party on Saturday, February 19 in Houston from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

“Join us for Family Art Fest! Paint party with a different theme each time! ” the website said.

Guests are required to wear a mask.


Karbach Rodeo Clown Roundup

Karbach Brewing will kick off the rodeo season on Sunday, February 20, 2022, with the Rodeo Clown Roundup featuring Flatland Cavalry, Shinyribs and Aaron Copeland. Doors open at 3 p.m. General admission is $35 and VIP tickets are $100, website says. Children under 12 years old do not need a ticket when accompanied by an adult.

The VIP ticket includes a private entrance to the VIP area with optimal views, indoor restrooms, three beers, buffet, and beer access.

‘Hamilton’ performed by Broadway at The Hobby

“Hamilton” will be broadcast live in Houston this week at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets start at $49 and are still available for shows starting at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 22. Find more details and purchase tickets. this.
