Wallace has a new NASCAR opportunity
In 2020, Wallace drove for Richard Petty Motorsports’ iconic #43 goal, even though he missed the Playoffs.
In 2021, he has been hired to drive for the Hamlin and Jordan team at wheel 23 – it would hardly be any other number, would it?
After some growing difficulty throughout the first half of the year, Wallace secured first place in the top 10 with a fifth place at Pocono 2.

He followed with a second place at the second Daytona race, before winning the Talladega fall race shortened in the rain.
It was the first win by a black driver in the Cup Series since Wendell Scott in 1963.

In Sunday’s 2022 season opener at the Daytona 500, Wallace once again showed off his superhuman prowess.
He was in the lead in the final lap, but fell short in 0.036 seconds when he denied Austin Cindric’s win.
