The man who shot the video says Glazewski “yelled at the employee and freaked out
A man named Aaron Phillips recorded the videos and posted them to his Facebook page on March 31, 2022. He wrote:
MUST WATCH! Happened today at Turkey Hill on Columbia Ave in Lancaster, PA. 03/31/22 at about 12:50 p.m. This guy put stickers on a gas pump, got yelled at by a clerk and then went nuts. Calling the Manor Township Police Department, East Hempfield and Manheim Township they handled the situation quickly and correctly! The guy admits he put the stickers there, he “chased the camera” and got where he is now… The build up was just him yelling at the clerk and freaking out for putting the sticker on the pump attached. Enjoy.
In the first video, you see a commotion on the ground as a police officer arrests a man in a gas station parking lot. The man regularly yells things in the video and says he needs a “lawyer for this s***”. At the beginning of the video, he points to a pump at a gas station and says, “I did that.”
The second video shows several officers putting the combative, swearing man into a patrol car.
One man wrote in the comments thread: “Biden stickers? What is the location address? I’ll come over and put some on the pump.” Phillips told this man, “Actually, they were Biden stickers, but the guy was REALLY upset when he was told not to put them there.”
Police are charging Glazewski with causing a disturbance after an employee told him he couldn’t put the anti-Biden stickers on the gas pumps and called him “angry.”
Heavy has contacted Manor Township Police for further details. According to the Lancaster Police blotter, police say Glazewski caused a disturbance at the petrol pumps on March 31.
They arrived and learned that he had put the “I made this” stickers on the pumps.
“A store clerk approached Glazewski and told him he couldn’t put stickers on the pumps. Glazewski reportedly kicked the employees in the face and started yelling at them,” the police press release said. Police said in the press release that an officer tried to de-escalate the situation but accused Glazewski of “aggressively walking up to a store employee” instead.
Here is the full release:
At approximately 12:50 p.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2022, the East Hempfield Township Police Department was called to Turkey Hill – 1503 Columbia Ave. for an ongoing incident involving an angry man in the company’s gas pump area. Upon arrival, officers encountered the man who began yelling at the police. The officer tried in vain to verbally de-escalate the situation. The angry man then aggressively ran towards a store employee. The officer was able to intervene and subdue the man, identified as Thomas R. Glazewski, 53, of Lancaster. Speaking to witnesses at the scene, police learned that Glazewski had reportedly put “Joe Biden” stickers on gas pumps, citing the high price of gas. A store clerk approached Glazewski and told him he couldn’t put stickers on the pumps. Glazewski reportedly kicked the employees in the face and began yelling at them. Glazewski was then transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of self-inflicted injuries while sitting in the backseat of a police vehicle. East Hempfield Police were assisted by officers from Manor Township and Manheim Township Police Departments in bringing the situation under control. On Monday, April 4, 2022, a criminal complaint was filed against Thomas R. Glazewski, charging him with one count each of: resisting arrest (M2); Messy behavior (M3); criminal mischief (total); and harassment (total).
