TI recently appeared as a guest on Shannon Sharpe’s podcast Club Shay Shay. And the rapper shared his thoughts on his son King’s recent behavior. TI also shared a stark recollection of other adults criticizing his parenting skills.
TI has been candid about his son King Harris’ recent behavior
The ‘King of the South’ wasn’t shy about sharing his thoughts on his son’s recent behavior – many instances of which have gone viral on social media. And portray a more ruthless side of the teenager.
I love him for it – whatever he’s going through, I love him for it. And I can’t say he’s a great kid enough.
The rapper went on to explain that the media doesn’t give enough credit to his son’s positive performances. And cover more negative stories instead.
But the media doesn’t talk enough about the good… They only focus on the bad because it gets them more clicks. And he’s young, so I’m trying to point that out to him.
TI went on to explain that he prefers to accept his son for who he is. Then force him to conform to his expectations of him.
I’m just trying to guide him through it. But he’s getting better every day.
The rapper even shared a reminder for other parents who were quick to criticize.
We all have bad kids!
Social media reacted to TI’s thoughts about his son and his behavior
Many viewers of the clip had a mixed reaction to TI’s thoughts. Some agreed with the rapper’s stance and applauded his accomplishments as a parent.
He has 6 kids and only one of them is a problem, 1 out of 6 is NOT bad AT ALL!
You can raise your kids to be perfect but they still do what they want to do.. so I agree with him..
You all act like you don’t have bad kids around no matter what their parents do or say they’re going to rebel. Stop blaming the parents for what these grown up ass kids are doing. No matter how hard you try, kids will try to prove you wrong. Stop pretending you really know this man
While others continued to criticize him and King.
I promise you, if Deja had done half as much crap as that boy, Tip would have disowned her
He acts the way he does because his parents don’t hold him accountable
We just want him to stop acting like he’s that mean, and he got it out of the mud when he was literally born with a silver spoon in his mouth and living in a gated community.
King Harris and his viral behavior
As previously reported by The Shade Room, King Harris got into a heated internet exchange with Charleston White earlier in October. The 18-year-old was also arrested in September for reportedly not wearing a seat belt in a moving vehicle, according to the outlet.
Harris was quick to speak out against those who criticized him for “trying to be gangsta.”
Anyone who says n***** tryna be gangsta. I’m not asking the police to stop me, y’all b****** a** n*****.
Roommates, what do you think of this?
