TikTok users can’t see who likes their videos when reporting a new issue

Be it a verified content creator or a regular TikTok user, everyone would want to know who liked their posts and what comments shared underneath.

But it seems like a possible bug is preventing them since they took to Twitter to report the issue.

TikTok has yet to address these complaints. In the meantime, here are some possible solutions to the problem that might be worth trying.

TikTok users are complaining

The virality of a particular post is determined by its popularity. However, TikTok users cannot decide whether their videos get enough attention or not because they cannot see who liked their videos.

Usually, you can see the list of people who liked your videos just by clicking the heart icon.

But the option seems to be disabled for some.

one Tweeted“I’m pretty sure it’s just me, but can someone see the likes on their tiktok but not say who liked it?”

“Why doesn’t Tiktok show me who liked my video?” added Another.

Another user complained, “Someone else’s Tiktok notifications just don’t work. like nothing shows up in my tiktok notification area. I posted a video and it got 57 likes but it doesn’t show who liked it. and my dms does not work. I’ve tried wiping and restarting my phone but it doesn’t work.”

“@tiktok_us I can’t see who liked my videos and it’s driving me insane please correct me.” read another tweet.

So you can see who likes your videos

The option to see who likes your videos on TikTok is different for phones and desktops.

To see who is liking your videos by phone, all you have to do is select the heart icon on the right that appears under your handle for each post.

However, if you are trying to check it on your comp, you need to click on the “Inbox” icon at the top right next to the “Account” icon.

You have to select the second option “Like” and by clicking on it you can see the list of people who liked your posts.

However, the likes displayed on your computer show all your likes and are not related to a specific video.

Possible fixes

You may not be able to see who has liked your videos for a number of reasons. Since TikTok hasn’t confirmed if it’s a bug in their system, here are some potential fixes.

  • Make sure your internet connection is uninterrupted and secure.
  • Try freeing up space on your device to get more storage space. You can do this by clearing the cache.
  • If you haven’t updated to the latest version of TikTok, do so as soon as possible.
  • Check your privacy settings to ensure your TikToks are visible to all users.
