This TikToker, himself a Gen-Z’er, called a colleague who was quitting a job simply because he didn’t want to complete a tedious task.

What was the task? Removing what appears to be sticky adhesive residue from a vehicle for a customer. Peyton (@that.blue.longbed) indicated that the Gen Z employee in question said he would rather work at McDonald’s than go through the meticulous process of scraping the residue off the vehicle.

Peyton responded in a follow-up clip to commenting that the young man had only been there a month before demanding to be paid the same amount as other people who had worked longer hours in the paint shop and had more skills.

However, there were a number of commentators who applauded the young man for leaving the job because he “knew its worth” and said Peyton drank “Management Kool-Aid.”
